Fee / Financial conditions

Fees

Our services are generally invoiced on the basis of an agreed hourly rate according to the time spent. Our hourly rate depends on the value of the case and the experience or specialization of the lawyer entrusted with the mandate. It is usually between
CHF 300.00 and CHF 380.00. In addition to the fee, a small expense allowance of 3% (photocopies, telephone, postage, etc.) of the invoiced amount is charged. Actual cash expenses (travel expenses, special courier services, etc.) are invoiced separately. Furthermore, our fees are generally subject to value added tax (currently 8.1% VAT).

Invoicing

Payment on account is usually agreed. The final invoice is generally issued after the mandate has been completed. In lengthy or particularly complex cases, monthly or quarterly partial invoices are issued. We are happy to discuss your preferences in this regard with you.

Legal expenses insurance

If you have legal expenses insurance, please contact your insurer in advance and check whether your insurance covers the legal dispute and whether you are allowed to appoint your own lawyer (free choice of lawyer). Ask your legal expenses insurer for written confirmation of coverage in good time to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Free legal aid ("Unentgeltliche Rechtspflege")

If you do not have sufficient financial resources to pay for legal representation and the costs of litigation, we can apply to the competent court for free legal aid. If necessary, the costs of the proceedings and legal representation will then be paid provisionally from the court's funds. In any case, the prerequisites are that the client is indigent and that the case itself has a chance of success.
